Our performance horse program is rooted in generations of ranching tradition in the high desert of Utah, where horses develop mental and physical toughness through real-world exposure to cattle, diverse terrain, and early handling. As fifth-generation ranchers, we believe that great horses are made through a combination of proven genetics, intentional development, and real-world experience. Every foal in our program is bred, raised, and started with the end goal in mind: to become a reliable, high-caliber partner in and out of the arena.
What sets our program apart is the combination of elite bloodlines, hands-on foundational development, and a ranch-raised environment that instills grit, soundness, and trainability from day one. While we retain a portion of our foals for personal use on the ranch and/or to bring back into our breeding program, we are proud to offer a limited selection of prospects each year—each one raised with integrity and backed by a program that prioritizes long-term success.
Breeding Program
Our selective breeding program offers exclusive access to high-caliber bloodlines, producing elite horsepower for riders who demand the best. With over 30 broodmares and two Riata Buckle stallions, our herd has been hand-selected for their exceptional athleticism, ideal conformation, and a willing disposition― carrying on the characteristics needed to excel in today’s performance horse market, particularly in team roping and barrel racing.
Weanling & Yearling Development
Every horse bred on our ranch is handled and exposed to conditions that help them develop confidence and maturity from a young age. In addition to real-world ranch exposure in the pasture, we spend at least 15 days handling each weanling, and another 15-30 days of foundational training (at minimum) with them as yearlings. This hands-on, structured program ensures that young horses receive a correct head start—building confidence, respect, and handling fundamentals. We stand behind each horse that grows up on our ranch, knowing that they have the foundational tools needed to excel in their future disciplines.
Ranch-Raised Foundation
Our horses are bred and raised in a true ranch environment in the rugged high desert country of Utah, developing the mental and physical toughness needed for high-level performance. From an early age, they navigate varied terrain, interact with livestock, and adapt to real-world challenges, giving them an edge in both competition and trainability.
